It is a momentous day for my platformer, Marble Experiment. Until yesterday, no one had ever beat the game. But that all changed when Suikoden003, from the Game Maker Games Forum, took it on, and prevailed. He managed to make through almost the entire game with-in the first couple of hours, an amzing feat considering other's have spent all night trying the first 10 levels.
Trying to overcome the challenging controls, he made his way into the last level of endurance, trying to outrun the death-like mass closely following. After battling for over half an hour, he defeated the game. He overcame the Experiment, he made histroy, and he set a new bench mark of endurance for gamers around the globe.
Suikoden had his own comments too, he said:
My play-through was frustrating, a bit sweaty, painful ( my fingers started to hurt ). This game has punishing and unforgiving controls. The last level took me around 30-40 tries before I did it. I didn't like the collision checking because I was usually one pixel away from a coin or the jump arrow. As for the other levels it was all trial and error.
The game was good and it satisfied me at the end. It wasn't very innovative ( except for the marble movement and jumping tricks ) but eventually I got used to it. I'm persistent! Thanks for making this nice platformer and keep doing 'em!...
Congratulations Suikoden, and continue with your dominating game-play.
