Enliten Screenies!

BLAMMO! Here they are. I bet they look a bit confusing, but what do you expect for a game based completely around the dark and stationary lights?

The screens here aren't actual size, I just make them small for my narrow display, and it's just easier to fit everywhere.

This game's getting sweet

Still no screens, but for a new reason. I'm having some trouble with the views. But I'm getting help with it as we speak, so do not fret.

Some neat features for Enlitened now are a lot of small things. The main view in-game is set to follow a small light. This light follows you, but with a delay. This results in very smooth panning.

There is also a "terrain" feature. The nice thing is that the bumpy terrain in-game isn't just aesthetic, your player moves according to it. I hope this will make the game a lot more natural feeling.

This game will be sound-rich. Sounds for jumping, landing, running, dying, lights, finishing, enemies, it's going to be bounteous.

Another neat little feature is about your "Follower Light" which was talked about at the beginning of the second paragraph. It's normally a white light, but if it returns any dangers near by it will turn red. If the danger gets closer (or you do), it begins to fluctuate in size; giving you a broader view of the area around. It's a sort of mercy feature I suppose.

Anywho, that's all for now. Stay tuned!

Enlitened

...is the tentative title for my latest WIP. This game is a platformer where the entire world is black (not just for aesthetics) and the only way you can see where you're going is by lights placed around the levels. There are "Omni Light", "Spot Lights", "Follower Lights", "Axis Lights", and I plan on having more types in the future such "Endless Lights", and "Living Lights".

The character movement, design, is about 99% done. I'm quite proud of it ^_^.

SCREENS COMING SOON.

It's over

So, earth week for me is over. The result?: Utter Failure. Oh well, back to what everyone cares about; games and stuff.

In other news, I've been diving into lots of Javascript/PHP/everthing. Just web related stuff. I just got a new computer running Linux as well, so I'm going to get that hooked up to a flat screen and start learning the server end of things.

Game-wise? :/ Not too much happening. Sorry guys.
